Briefly…

Papers of interest this week (courtesy of my supervisors):

Functional connectivity of SII and cerebellum in sensory attenuation – fMRI and force-matching

AI helps inform role of dopa cells in learning – predicted future rewards encoded as probability distribution, not single mean (which got me thinking back to this one)

Somatosensory oscillations and tactile attention

We’ve now collected 4 full datasets for our pegboard pilot study, and now that’s up and running, the auditory attenuation task needs setting up, starting with finding the best amplifier for our purposes. I’ll also be gathering a few bits of research I’ve come across over the last year to put together a schematic diagram demonstrating the circuity involved in somatosensory and auditory attenuation, which will help inform paradigm design and hypothesis formation.
